Delivery timeline adjustment; production status

Hi Backers,

We are making solid progress with the production of REBEL, but we need to push our delivery timeline back by about one month. Our factory was not able to accommodate the demands of our production timeline for REBEL, so please expect the product to be delivered in June. We are doing our best to deliver beforehand if possible; our most optimistic timeline would deliver REBEL by end of May / beginning of June. 

We always work to deliver our products as soon as possible, but as creators who come to Kickstarter to raise funds before we can begin production, there are also many factors that can impact the timing of each project. We believe in taking the appropriate amount of time to produce the best product, rather than rushing to deliver something you'll be unhappy with. Thank you for your patience as we work hard to ensure a high-quality reward for all of our backers.

PRODUCTION STATUS

Batteries and magnets are currently in production. REBEL’s aluminum body is being machined starting today, followed by the titanium body. We’ll include photos and videos of this process in the next update. The cast mould for the button light housing will be complete on May 10th (finalizing this custom housing was the primary cause of our delay). We then move on to the assembly of the final product over the back half of May, with shipping and delivery expected soon after.

One more thing: we always try to give our backers a little something extra when we can. We prefer to keep it a surprise, but know that we will be delivering each and every REBEL spinner with a bonus item that we are producing right now. It won't add any more time to delivery, but we wanted you to know something's coming!

REBEL production begins, BackerKit reminder

Hi Backers,

Funds have been released and production is moving forward on ZeroHour REBEL!

Thank you to everyone who confirmed their pledge reward and shipping address in BackerKit. However, there are 64 backers who have not completed their surveys/payments. Please go to BackerKit as soon as possible, either via the email you were previously sent, or by following the instructions in our prior update. We are depending on you to complete your information to ensure timely delivery of your rewards.

We’ve really enjoyed our time putting our spin on spinners, but ZeroHour has continued to work hard on our core business of tactical products and flashlights. Once production is moving along on our current projects, we’ll be building a campaign for a ZeroHour product with exciting new features that our customers have been requesting from us.

Our BackerKit Survey and Pre-Order Store is now open!

BACKERKIT INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT: You must use BackerKit to confirm your rewards, add-ons, and shipping addresses. Without this information, we can't send your rewards! You should have already received an invitation email from BackerKit. If you haven’t received an email, please follow the steps 1 & 2 below. Everyone else will start at step 3.

1. Go to https://rebel.backerkit.com

2. Enter the email address you use for your Kickstarter account. You must use this email address because it's connected to your pledge for REBEL. BackerKit will then send you an email with a special link to your survey.

3. BackerKit will ask you a few questions to confirm your reward, such as your shipping country and address. If you pledged more than the Kickstarter reward amount (i.e. to secure additional units), it has been added to your shopping cart as Pledge Credit and can be used for any BackerKit purchases.

4. Accessories + Additional Spinners: We have filled BackerKit with many add-on options, including batteries, spare click-lights, and more! Anything you add that is more than your original pledge amount can be charged to a credit card. All items you add will be part of one shipment!

5. Most importantly, please carefully review your shipping address and phone number. Once you're all checked out, you are ready to receive your rewards! We will update you with tracking information as we get closer to our delivery dates.

REBEL campaign closed! Production begins soon.

Hey Backers,

The ZeroHour REBEL campaign has just closed with 711 backers and $81,513 in pledges! Our heads are still spinning from the success of our little REBEL, who broke out to find its own way. We’re excited to deliver a quality spinner with super bright microlights to keep with you wherever you go.

BACKERKIT

We intend to have a speedy production and delivery process, but we need your help. In about 10-14 days, you will receive an email from BackerKit. You will be able to confirm your pledge reward and shipping address, and add additional ZeroHour products at special Kickstarter rates.

Please be on the lookout for this important email! We are depending on you to complete your information to ensure timely delivery of your rewards. We’ll also send an update when BackerKit invitations go out.

Regarding the custom holster, we didn’t quite hit that final stretch goal, but we want to make it available to our backers as an add-on, and will share our final design with you soon. You’ll also want to check out our click light magnets and additional batteries once BackerKit launches.

PRODUCTION READY

We have completed the various adjustments and upgrades we discussed in previous updates, and are ready to begin production as soon as campaign funds are delivered. One additional area we focused on was ensuring a good fit for the click lights. An o-ring will be fitted on the inside of the spinner body, which will help the click lights press firmly into place and keep them snug while you spin.

We’ll keep you updated with manufacturing photos and clips of the process after it begins.

THE FUTURE OF FUN IS ALMOST HERE

We know we’ve been hinting at something big, but we are about to launch a new project that builds off of the success of REBEL. We want to keep spinning our way through this new universe of fun, so be on the lookout for what we hope will be one of the must-have toys of the year. Stay tuned, you’ll be the first to know when we launch!
